Add Maps to Excel Spreadsheets

Maps let your team see the spatial component of the data, and increases the speed from information to action.

Whether it is quarterly sales figures by territory, NGO project disbursements in Afghanistan or projecting crop losses due to flooding in the Midwest; when producing critical reports in Excel, being able to deliver maps in the same data tables is indispensible. Patterns not readily apparent in tables and charts become visible, new questions and decisions become visible based on spatial relationships. Geo-analytics happens.

AWhere makes it incredibly easy to map your MS-Excel data tables, but what about putting your maps in Excel? Yes, it is possible to augment your Excel reports with maps using AWhere with a simple cut and paste process.

  • First, select your map.
  • Next, use the "Copy" command button above the tree-view to copy the map image displayed in the map view.
  • Then, click on a table in MS-Excel and paste the map into the table using the "Ctrl-v" key combination or the "Paste" menu command in Excel.
