Golden, Colo., April 12, 2007 –
Mud
Springs Geographers, Inc (MSGI) has changed its name to AWhere, Inc.
(AWI) The new company is composed of the existing Mud Springs Team and
experienced software sales and marketing professionals.
"AWI
believes that the role of spatial analysis in business is too important
to be left to 'GIS' specialists," states John Corbett, CEO, "everybody
in the business needs access to the geospatial information. AWhere 3.8
was designed for non-GIS users to do mapping of their data, before
mapping was so popular, we have been creating map mashups before the
term was coined."
Mud Springs Geographers began in 1999 with a
team experienced with GIS solutions, weather and climate, agriculture,
relief and international development efforts. While working with
clients, Mud Springs realized that the tools they needed to connect
places with people, transactions and conditions, were too complicated
to use interactively or too simplistic to effectively disseminate
results. Their outputs were spatial and the analysis inevitably
involved scenarios of options over time. AWI developed AWhere 3.8 to
help them deliver their services and at the same time fill the needs of
their broad range of clients, who were not GIS (Geographical
Information Systems) professionals.
About AWhere 3.8 - Desktop Map Mashup Solution
AWhere
3.8's powerful data integration design allows users to create maps to
visualize their data. Better, more intelligent decisions are often made
through a map view. Easy integration of "your' data with outside data
from the likes of Census, scientific studies, and other freely
available data on the internet significantly improves problem
understanding and solutions. These maps (MyMaps) can then be shared
with other AWhere 3.8 users via a patent-pending map file (shapefile)
sharing format AWhere Exchange. The software is sold directly and thru
partners worldwide. A trial version along with free databases is
available at www.awhere.com.
